Alejandro Avila is on death row in the
state of California. In March of 2019, the state halted executions,
leaving death row in the air. As someone who has seen every crime
that was committed to earn this sentence, it is truly reserved for
the worst of the worst, and he or she will likely serve life in
prison if the death penalty is no longer an option.
Crime
Avila kidnapped, sexually assaulted and
murdered Samantha Runnion, a 5-year-old Stanton girl who disappeared
in 2002 during a rash of high-profile child abductions.

ReplyDeleteWhile there IS evidence against him, regardless, there are a series of appeals that have to be gone through. With the governor deciding to do away with the death penalty it is likely he will never be executed.

DeleteOur Governor is disgusting to stop the death penalty in our state. All it did was protect Avila from what he deserves. I wish we still had the electric chair! He did unspeakable things to that child and then discarded her with no regard for a human life. He should be ripped apart by his fellow inmates. RIP Samantha.

ReplyDeleteWho needs the electric chair or injections? I thought convicts had a code that they all follow. While all are criminals they tend to despise criminals whose victims were children. I guess even felons have standards. Why hasn’t someone murdered that repulsive piece of shit!? Isn’t there someone in the prison population man enough to step up and put that worthless, walking excrement down? It’s long overdue. He needs to begin his eternity of torture and terror by the master he worships, an eternity in hell would still not be long enough.
