Timothy Ronk is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime On the morning of August 26, 2008, emergency personnel responded to reports of a house fire on Timber Ridge Lane in Biloxi, Mississippi. In their efforts to extinguish the flames, firefighters discovered the remains of a human body in a bedroom of the house. Dental records would later identify the body as thirty-seven-year-old Michelle Lynn Craite. Craite's autopsy revealed multiple stab wounds to her back in addition to severe burns that destroyed her flesh down to the bone. Craite had suffered blistering and burning to the lining of her mouth, tongue, larynx, and windpipe, and a high level of carbon monoxide was found in Craite's blood. This evidence indicated that Craite was still alive and breathing during the fire. Dr. Paul McGarry, a forensic pathologist, opined that the stab wounds likely were the cause of Craite's death, as she would have died from those wounds within “minutes” or...

Stephen E Powers is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime On the afternoon of June 13, 1998, Elizabeth Lafferty was introduced to Powers and his nephew, "Junior" or "Jay" Otis, Jr. by a mutual friend, Eddie Barnes. The four decided to cook out and drink beer at Lafferty's home. Later, Otis and Barnes left the Lafferty home, leaving Powers and Lafferty alone. Lafferty's body was discovered at approximately 1:00 a.m. the next morning in the hallway. Lafferty had been shot five times, three at a point-blank range in the back of the head, once under the chin, and once in the temple. Eric Moffett is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime Felicia Griffin was sexually abused,1 battered,2 and murdered during the early morning hours of December 31, 1994. Thomas Loden is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime Late in the evening on June 22, 2000, Thomas E. Loden, Jr. (“Loden”) kidnapped sixteen-year-old Leesa Marie Gray (“Leesa”).   Over the next four hours, Loden repeatedly raped and sexually battered Leesa, videotaping portions of the sadistic acts, before murdering her by way of suffocation and manual strangulation.   Following his arrest, Loden was indicted for capital murder, rape, and four counts of sexual battery.   On September 21, 2001, Loden waived his right to a jury for trial and sentencing, and pleaded guilty to all six counts in the indictment. Steven Michael Knox is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime On October 22, 1998, Ella Mae Spears was scheduled to travel from Liberty to Fayette, Mississippi, to babysit the children of her niece, Guy Alice Spears Green.   When Ms. Spears failed to arrive in Fayette as scheduled, Green contacted Spears's son, Albert McKnight, who, in turn, contacted Amite County Sheriff Gene McClendon.   McKnight and McClendon then went to Spears's residence in Liberty. Richard G Jordan is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime In January of 1976, Richard Gerald Jordan traveled to Gulfport from Louisiana.   He telephoned the Gulf National Bank and asked to speak to a loan officer.   After he was told that Charles Marter could assist him, Jordan ended the call and found Marter's Gulfport residence address in the telephone directory.   He went to the Marter's residence and, pretending to be an employee of the electric company, gained entrance to the house.   He kidnapped Charles's wife, Edwina, forcing her to leave her three-year-old son sleeping alone in the house.   Jordan forced Edwina to drive to a deserted area of the DeSoto National Forest. Jordan shot Edwina in the back of the head.   The defense claimed that Edwina tried to run away and that Jordan attempted to fire a warning shot over her head.   The bullet entered her skull at the lower right occipital area of the brain and traveled upward, exiting ...

Kelvin Jordan is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime Law enforcement officers received an anonymous phone call implicating Edwards and Jordan in the killings.   After a search of the trailer where the suspects were staying, officers found a pistol and items thought to have been stolen from Roberts's vehicle.   Upon questioning by various officers, Jordan admitted that he and Edwards had robbed and killed Roberts and Bradley.   In his statements to police, Jordan blamed Edwards for the shootings.   However, Jordan did confess that he knew about the plan to rob someone, that he suggested to Edwards that they rob Roberts when Roberts pulled into the gas station, that he had a pistol when he left his house that afternoon, that he had fired a shot at Roberts, that he helped Edwards dispose of Roberts's body, and that he helped burn the car and get rid of the pistols. James Cobb Hutto is an inmate on death row in the state of Mississippi. Crime On the same day as Hutto's arrest, Simpson's body was found on a hog farm in Edwards, Mississippi, just off Interstate 20. Edwards is located in Hinds County and is approximately halfway between Clinton and Vicksburg. An empty hog-feed container partially covered Simpson's body. Simpson died from severe injuries to her head and neck, and forensic testing later identified her blood on the Nike flip-flops that Hutto wore on the night of Simpson's disappearance.
