    I am one small part of the 'machine' that responded to this monster's horrific crimes. I have spent my entire adult life responding to these type of incidents, and I still carry the trauma of seeing first hand what this monster really did 21 years ago. It troubles me a little that this animal may actually outlive me. This death sentence apparently means nothing. As someone who has given my life to public service, I sacrificed daily. This monster has lived comfortably in a cell for 21+years while I have been chasing other monsters like him. I say kill him now! I must outlive him. If you can give me one reward for my public service....let me know he is dead before I die myself.

      I feel you. I've been anti death penalty most of my life. (Gilmore is the first news story I ever remember and I was horrified). However, after completing this blog and seeing all the details, I'm not against it anymore. I can't imagine being a first response for things like this I'm sorry I hope you find peace in knowing you helped to keep society safe and focus on the positive things.

David Barnett Missouri

David Barnett is an inmate on death row in the state of Missouri.. Previously sentenced to death, but the sentence was overturned by a judge in 2015 Crime Barnett was waiting for his grandparents when they returned home around 1:00 p.m. He confronted his grandmother and pushed her down in the hallway. He then pushed his grandfather to the floor and grabbed a knife that was lying on the nearby kitchen table.
