Kenneth R. Bivert California

Kenneth R. Bivert is on death row in the state of California. In March of 2019, the state halted executions, leaving death row in the air. As someone who has seen every crime that was committed to earn this sentence, it is truly reserved for the worst of the worst, and he or she will likely serve life in prison if the death penalty is no longer an option.

Bivert, a prison gang leader serving a life sentence for killing three people, Leonard Swartz, , in incidents two days apart, who were fishing along a Sacramento riverbank when he was 17, stabbed to death an inmate, Rick Dixon who refused his orders to attack another inmate.

The prosecution presented certified documents that proved defendant had suffered three prior convictions for first degree murder in 1988 and was a life prisoner at the time of the capital murder.

Previously sentenced to death, but the sentence was overturned by a judge in 2015 Crime Barnett was waiting for his grandparents when they returned home around 1:00 p.m. He confronted his grandmother and pushed her down in the hallway.
