Crime

Byron Black shot to death his girlfriend and her two daughters at their Nashville home in 1988. His appeal includes Byron Lewis Black was convicted in 1989 of three counts of first degree murder for the shooting deaths of his girlfriend, Angela Clay, and her two daughters, Latoya and Lakeisha Clay. A jury sentenced Petitioner to death for the murder of Lakeisha Clay and to two life sentences for
the murders of Angela and Latoya Clay. Petitioner was also convicted of one count of burglary, for which he received a fifteen-year sentence. The Tennessee Supreme Court affirmed Petitioner’s convictions and sentences on direct appeal. See State v. Black, 815 S.W.2d 166  (Tenn. 1991).

According to WREG, Black was convicted by a Nashville court of murdering his girlfriend Angela Clay and her daughters Latoya, 9, and Lakesha, 6, at their home in 1988. Prosecutors said he shot the three during a jealous rage. Black was on work release at the time for shooting and injuring Clay’s estranged husband.

Troy Kell Utah

Troy Kell is an inmate on death row in the state of Utah.He is infamous because HBO made a documentary about his murder called American Gladiator. He was in prison for life on a previous murder where he killed a man who had alleged molested a friend of his (dysfunctional white knighting) when he and others killed an inmate who was black.
