Dayton Leroy Rogers is an
inmate on death row in the state of Oregon. They were convicted on
11/16/15 in Clackamas County at the age of 62 year old. His birth date is 09/30/53
Crime
According to Oregon Live, Rogers is
known as Oregon's most prolific serial killer. He tortured and
stabbed six women in 1987, leaving their bodies in a remote wooded
area outside Molalla. Rogers, a foot and bondage fetishist, targeted
young women who were heroin addicts. He sawed off some of their feet.
One woman was gutted from her sternum to her pelvis. Jurors sentenced
Rogers to death in 1989, 1994 and 2006, but the Oregon Supreme Court
overturned the verdicts when laws changed or on legal technicalities.
Another jury sentenced him a fourth time in 2015. During his 2015
resentencing hearing, Rogers admitted killing a seventh woman, Tawnia
Jarie Johnston. Her body was found in the Molalla forest with the
other victims, but she wasn't identified until 2013. In a statement
to the jury, Rogers said Johnston was one of the "precious lives
