Rickey Bell was convicted in the 2010
murder of Starr Harris, a Drummonds, Tenn., mother who was sexually
assaulted and beaten. His appeal includes In this capital case, the jury convicted the Defendant, Rickey Alvis Bell, Jr., of two alternative counts of first degree felony murder, one count of especially aggravated kidnapping, and one count of aggravated sexual battery. The jury sentenced the Defendant to death for thefirst degree murder based on four aggravating circumstances. On direct appeal, the Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the Defendant‟s convictions. The Court of Criminal Appeals concluded that the record did not support two of the aggravating circumstances but nonetheless affirmed the death sentence

I don't really know the guy but I followed the case and believe he was framed cause he is black. In all cases the spouse is the first person looked at. In this case husband was never considered a suspect despite DNA on the body and inside the body was that of the husband. Mr. Bell DNA was no where on the victim nor inside the victim. They spoke of a condom but the victims DNA was nowhere on the condom. Mr. Bell had no scratches on him when the victims husband was covered in them. On top of that victims clothes were never tested so this was a unfair

Though I do not know Ricky personally, I feel the trial was very unfair. Relying only on first circumstancial evidence found near and not in the actually spot where Starr murder was committed and body found. What about the condom issue? I really do not comprehend how someone, who's in a hurry to rape had time to put on a condom before raping. I mean who does that?
