Troy Kell is an inmate on death row in
the state of Utah.He is infamous because HBO made a documentary about his murder called American Gladiator. He was in prison for life on a previous murder where he killed a man who had alleged molested a friend of his (dysfunctional white knighting) when he and others killed an inmate who was black.
Crime
He was convicted of the 1994 murder of inmate Lonnie Blackmon inside the Utah State Prison in
Gunnison. Kell stabbed his fellow inmate 67 times while screaming “white
power”
His appeal includes Defendant stabbed fellow inmate Lonnie Blackmon (Blackmon) to death on July 6, 1994. Prior to the attack, defendant, a white supremacist, had been involved in race-related altercations with several African-American inmates, including Blackmon.
On the day before the killing, defendant and two of his accomplices, Eric Daniels (Daniels) and Paul Payne (Payne), submitted medical request forms to visit the prison's medical facility. In addition, Daniels forged a medical request form in Blackmon's name so that Blackmon would be transported to the medical facility at the same time defendant and his accomplices were being transported.

The HBO documentary is called GLADIATOR DAYS , NOT AMERICAN GLADIATOR. where did you get your information from, Troy was never involved in prior race related attack as you incorrectly state. Blackmon on the other hand was involved in attacks on white inmates and white guards . If you bothered to do any research instead of posting inaccurate information you would know Blackmon attacked Paul Payne 6 weeks he was killed the guards on duty had to use a water hose to break it up . He certainly never denied it and he clearly has a penchant for violence and acknowledged he was a white separatist or have you forgotten what he screamed after he stabbed Mr. Blackmon 67 times??
DeleteThere's nothing to suggest Mr. Blackmon's alleged attacks on white prisoners or guards (other than those connected to white supremacists) was race related? If so, where is your proof? It could be acknowledged as no more than bucking against the system which Mr. Kell and his associates have all been guilty of on multiple occasions themselves which they both acknowledge and have documented. We saw that in the documentary with Eric Daniels and the riot he was a part of when he had his mohawk.
If Mr. Blackmon had a prior issue with Mr. Payne prior to his death there's nothing suggest he initiated that either which you imply...if so, where's your proof??

ReplyDeleteAfter hearing about this incident in July 1994, my friend that was incarcerated at Gunnison Utah and housed in Cedar Unit stated that Lonnie Blackmon ran his mouth off all the time and talked down not just to the Caucasian inmates but the Latinos as well. That's what happens when you have lose tongue in Prison!!!

Although i cant say i was in such a dangerous max sec as Troy; i was in max for a time untill my security dropped to medium. Ive been stuck with a toothbrush shank, avoided getting my face buckfifteed( razer) a couple times , so i know what im talkin about. Im a white italian guy. The violent racism in there is real. So in some rergards, i can understand what went down. But folks, can we be completely honest here. First of all, put yourself in troys shoes when he was approached by the homegirl who said there was a creep tryin to force shit. We can all agree as men that its perfectly natural to plan to set this guy up and beat him unconsious.
