Crime

Fearing he would be turned in to police, Thomas in 1992 killed a man, Rafael Noriega who sold him meth. In 1996 he killed a woman, Regina Hartwell, in Texas, for which he received a life term.

Appellant and the murder victim, Regina Hartwell, met each other through a mutual friend, Kim LeBlanc. According to LeBlanc, who testified for the State, appellant and Hartwell did not get along because each resented the time LeBlanc spent with the other. On the day before the murder, Hartwell called LeBlanc's apartment and spoke to appellant. They argued. After the call ended, appellant told LeBlanc he was going to kill Hartwell.

    Thomas and I were Soldiers together In Hawaii from 1994-1995 with C co. 4/87 Infantry in D Quad. He was an M60 Machine Gunner and I was his Assistant Gunner. It was his job to teach me how to become a Gunner and he was very good at that position. He was firm but fair and he taught me a lot. He was nearing the end of his enlistment and I was a bright eyed private. Thomas was normally a very friendly guy. He was a big/tall guy and didn't take any lip from anyone from our unit. If he liked you, you had nothing to worry about. If he didn't like you then you would be the first to know it. It troubles me to know that he had already committed murder before he joined the Army. It's amazing that the Army didn't catch that before he enlisted. I hate that he went down that path. He would have had a bright future if he had stayed on the right path. Anyway, Thomas if you ever read this I hope that you are doing well. Your Battle Buddy Chris Saxton aka "Bubba"

Troy Kell Utah

Troy Kell is an inmate on death row in the state of Utah.He is infamous because HBO made a documentary about his murder called American Gladiator. He was in prison for life on a previous murder where he killed a man who had alleged molested a friend of his (dysfunctional white knighting) when he and others killed an inmate who was black.
