Sean V. Vines California

Sean V. Vines is an inmate on death row in the state of California..

Crime

Vines first robbed the McDonald's where he worked, then robbed another McDonald's and killed an employee, Ronald Joshua Lee during the holdup.

Just after midnight, Zaharko closed the restaurant and began to lock the doors and make sure that no one other than the employees was still on the premises. Checking the men‟s restroom, Zaharko saw that someone was in a stall. He realized it was not an employee when he saw all the employees in the front counter and grill area of the restaurant a few moments later. About 12:15 a.m., Zaharko headed toward the restroom to tell the person to leave. As he rounded the corner of the lobby, he saw a man walking out of the restroom with a gun in his hand. The man was a dark-skinned African-American between the ages of 18 and 25, about six feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.2 He was wearing faded jeans, a green jacket with a hood over his head, and a green scarf wrapped around his face.

  1. I am the brother of the victim Ronald Joshua Lee it's been over twenty-something years since my brother was killed and it's very funny that Sean is still on death row still alive I'm not for killing anyone but since Justice was done correctly I don't understand why they're predominant so long I miss my brother every single day of my life there's not a day that goes by I don't think of him and cry my brother was to me in the most important person in my life and for him to be taken away from me like that it waid
a lot on me and my family.

    1. Thank you for sharing your truth. It matters. There are definitely two sides to each of these stories and I believe victims should get equal time.

    2. I am so sorry for your brothers loss and the sickening comment made by this person. This animal had NO right to do what he did to your brother and to say it was a mistake makes me sick to my stomach. May God bring you peace and may this animal be put to death sooner than later!

  2. I am sorry for your loss. I date someone who is related to Sean. Never met him nor do I know him. What I will say is I think about your brother a lot. What was he like, and why did this happen to you. I think when people commit crimes they never think they will shoot someone until it happens. Sean wasn't a bad guy, he just made a very bad mistake. I am sorry for your loss.

  3. Sean DIDN'T make a mistake, he took someone's life. A mistake is not intentional this act was intentional and without empathy for another person's life. If he killed someone you loved, I wonder if your comment would be different. He's exactly where he needs to be he's nothing more than an animal. I would pull the lever on the electric chair. He deserves EXACTLY what he gave his victim!

  4. I have known Sean for over 35 years. I was one of his girlfriends when all of this . happened. I was supposed to testify over 30 times, but never did. The prosecutor kept telling me what they wanted me to say but it was all lies, and I refused. I was kept from being able to be there for him because HE DIDN'T DO IT, but I do know who did do it, the Sacramento police are to corrupt and self serving to do what is right though and so here we are. Shame on you for thinking an innocent man should be killed because you lost someone.I am sorry for your loss, I truly am. I just wish you cared more about finding out the truth and less about killing my best friend to appease your need to punish someone, anyone no matter the truth. I will keep you in my prayers same as I keep Sean.
